A major vision called Your Time Is Now: How to become a student of distinction™ Life coaching workshops, the United Kingdom University Tour; was launched on the 7th of November 2012. This vision evolved from my passion to see students in the United Kingdom reach new levels of excellence and become students of distinction.
I launched my workshop at South Bank University in South London. This was hosted by the South Bank University Entrepreneurs Society. The event was a life changing, goal setting and vision enhancing evening with more than 20 students in attendance. I gave principles and teaching on how to become a student of distinction. The topics covered included excellence, vision and time management.
I motivated the students on the importance of having an excellent study life, and how to constantly excel while others are always exhausted. I emphasized the importance of having a clear and defined vision on the tasks that need to be achieved and how they can achieve results; and also on the importance of investing their time rather than squandering it.
It was truly an awesome evening and it was obvious that the students were relieved they attended; rather than stay at home sitting, watching a soap or being at the bar talking about the soaps. The evening ended with a ‘Question and Answer’ session and I applauded many of the students for their fantastic questions. Some of the questions asked were; “What advice can you give me in regards to me always procrastinating”? I replied “the only reason why you are procrastinating is because you can’t see the end result and if you can’t see the end result you won’t invest your time; but today set specific goals with their accomplishment in mind, and remind yourself that procrastinating won’t get you anywhere but a front seat in the comfort zone”. I saw many people quickly write down what I said and realised that my statement will stay with them for a very long time. Another question was by an attendee who told me she felt like giving up on her vision. I told her and the audience “whilst writing my first book titled Hitting The Target: A 12 Month Guide To Distinction, I didn’t have a laptop or any money and when I mean no money I didn’t even have £1 to buy a notepad”. I went on to tell them, “if I didn’t complete my book I couldn’t have inspired and challenged my generation, written four more books and I certainly wouldn’t be delivering Life coaching workshops to Universities across the United Kingdom”. The reaction from the audience meant I didn’t have to say any more, knowing that if they ever think about giving up they will always remember, how I wrote a book without a laptop or without any money; and how I used scrap paper to write a book that not only changed my life but continues to inspire an entire generation.
After the event was finished, there were handshakes, hugs and high fives. I saw how everyone realised this was more than a Life coaching workshop; it was actually a date with destiny.
I believe the vision from B1 COACHING called Your Time Is Now: How to become a student of distinction™ Life coaching workshops will do more for students in the United Kingdom than the Government and the Students Loan Company can ever do. © O. Anyado 2012.
